Images and words from my walks and interactions with nature and the environment.
An almost totally obscured sunset. After a few days of January heat wave in San Diego, with cloudless skies and intense sun light. Tonight the sky shifted suddenly to thick blankets of gray cloud, and I could feel the pressure building, humidity increasing and a powerful sense of transformation. A slice of red sun managed to sneak under a thick sheet of dense cloud, just above the hosizon, minutes before being swallowed up by deep blue-grayness. Rocks and rockpools struggled to shimmer as thy love to to do in full sun, but the waves performed their magic tonight, licking and spitting angrily on the rocks. Hard to believe this is the same beach I shot in serene, red, orange and yellow brushstrokes just a few night ago.
