Walk With Me - March 16, 2021

Updated: Aug 23, 2021

Images and words from my walks and interactions with nature and the environment.

a veil of cool wet softness drapes over my resting bones

like a silken shawl

folding onto flesh

crumpling into pockets and corners

frothing and bubbling amongst wilting wash-ups and smooth, shiny, random objects

I lay my long spine across this liquid metal bed

tendrils collapsing as I kiss my oily reflection

surrendering to the inevitable force of an ocean’s breath

take me away

I give myself to you

may I dance with you between the lines

back and forth

across the threshold

so delicate and miniature against this mighty beast we flirt with

and yet so brave and innocent

invincible

may I shadow you as we wade in the shallow endings

strutting towards and away

seeing the near and the far

dipping our toes in the slippery orange glow

sensing the flow of changing light

let’s dance till the moon is high

and the silver sea rises

let’s make this last all night

and only rest with the coming of dawn
